Solana Beach Amtrak Station

Solana Beach, CA

I spend a great deal of time studying Photoshop with books and online courses. Tonight I was reviewing conversions to black and white, so I submit this one. I have some criticisms of how it could be better, but on the whole I like it.

Robin this one is very nice. If you are using CS3 then these should be fun! I always have fun afterwards playing with curves to adjusat contrast and tones in a nice B&W. -BJ

I think you've done a very good job on this one, Robin

I like it too. The conversion seems perfect and you have made a very striking image here with wonderful tonal range.

I think this came out well. I have cycled past that building, and always thought of it as a "target rich" photographic environment.

You gave yourself a difficult task with this one which is not the best candidate for black and white. That said, you did a really good job getting the contrast and punch.
