After yesterday’s inside view of the Spruce Goose, today’s photographic challenge was to find something else to look into. We found it by flying North out of Camas to Mt. St. Helens. This is looking down into the NE side which blew out 26 years ago. Note the venting steam and the lava inside the “new” crater.
We had breathtakingly beautiful weather today as we left the Portland area for Southern Oregon via Mt. St. Helens and then back to the Columbia River gorge, East to the Dalles, and then South along the East side of the Cascades to land at Klamath Lakes.
