March 8th: TTFN

Rancho Bernardo, CA

You all can blame ***Herb*** for the fact I have stumbled around in these hallowed galleries on Pbase the past two years. He told me about the site when I met him at a Sierra Club photo shoot at the Wild Animal Park in March 2004. My life has never been the same since.

What an incredible experience. Again I am humbled by the friendship and help I have received from so many of you. Thank you again.

It is Ta Ta For Now folks. I’ll be back for my PESO commitment next week. Until then take good care.

What an experience. You are a great contributor to the creativeness and frivolity here on PBase!

Nice simple 'aurevoir', Robin. So sorry to have 'missed' your big day. Well done on two years of innovative, entertaining work.

Good work on reaching two years. We will miss you but at least you have PESO. :)

A classic pose for a classy guy.
The PESO idea maybe the life ring after 2 years for me too.
We'll be seeing you sooner than later, I think :)
Thanks, Robin.

It won't be the same without you. Hurry back. Congratulations on reaching two years and being so faithful.

Oh an I almost forgot the most important thing... I think this is a GREAT ending photo.
snootydog09-Mar-2006 01:00
I applaud you In your efforts these past two years. I've seen such changes in your photography. But I am glad to hear you are taking a bit of a break. I think the pad can become all consuming and therefore almost limiting at times. This isn't to say that the pad is a bad thing because I don't think it is, but balance is needed as well.

Take good care and I will see you when you come back as a spanish coin.

Miss you already....what an accomplishment, and I know what you mean about life never being the same again after Pbase. Enjoy your respite!

Congratulations... but hurry back... we'll miss you.

Well I'll miss your daily postings Robin - and mostly your regular comments and encouragement on my efforts. Shooting, editing, posting and particularly, commenting can be demanding and when it becomes a chore it's time to cut back.
I've found I've become addicted to the process though. Somehow the photographic process for me has become interwoven with the whole PaD concept - the vision, motivation, process and mostly, the wonderfully talented and generous people who are our PaD community.
You'll be back - full time even, I recon ! ;o)

Nice treatment is it a Cs2 thing or add on? Don't work to hard.

Two years! Well done!! Robin, you have been such an icon here. I have enjoyed your work and encouraging comment to all. I always look forward to your faithful visits and humor. I'm glad you will continue with a PESO.

Robin! Your joy in taking photos & eagerness to share your knowledge about photography with one & all is very much appreciated & inspiring. (That sounds great coming from someone who posted only once. I will get back to it in this year. My daughter is doing much better than I at posting.) You introduced us to this world, full of crazy, wonderful folks. Thank you! We in Ohio will look forward to your PESO photos - & seeing the den project completed.
Take care.

Now why does this remind me of Alfred Hitchcock?
Herb 08-Mar-2006 05:58
NS :)
Gary Winters08-Mar-2006 05:55
So it's Herb's fault, huh? Well, let me just add a comment on this last picture as Herb might himself:

Nice shot.
