December 23: PaD Addendum – How Was Your Day?

Rancho Bernardo, CA

Well happy eve of Christmas Eve to all. I ventured forth on what should have been a simple 90 minute trip to pick up my car from being serviced, to collect a new receiver/amplifier I had order on the web, and then do to do my grocery shopping.

Instead this took me FIVE hours. The traffic on Interstate 15 (both south and north) was horrific. We crept along bumper-to-bumper at 2 mph for about an hour.

The wait the car dealer was only 30 minutes, but they had said it would be ready right away.

The Best Buy lot was a zoo with virtually no parking spaces, and once inside I had to wait about 30 minutes.

The drive back to RB wasn’t much better even though I took an alternate route. Vons was very busy but not too bad.

This must be the pre-Christmas swirl. At least you are at the center of the vortex. :-)

A weird photo, Robin, but people get crazy during these days, everywhere the same I guess! Merry Chrismas, Marjan

you are not getting much sympathy are you! I stay well away from stores and busy towns at this time of year, if I possibly can

Hilarious image! If you thought this image was sharp and clear, you were probably in no fit state to drive! LOL

Happy Eve of Christmas Eve!

LOL...what the hell were you doing out today, anyway? Hope you learned your lesson,;-)

Your image conveys your frustrations well. Good job.

Nice shot. I was in some of that traffic on 15 day, after playing golf in RB. I was tired when I reached home in O'side, but it was a great day for me.

Great photo. That kind of traffic is why I don't live in Seattle anymore. Hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Excellent and very creative work!
PS. Merry Christmas and a happy new Year!:)

Robin, oh Robin, sounds like SD is getting a bit LAish! Our day was spent heading North on I5 from the Valley to Stockton. The drive took 20 minutes longer than on non-holiday weekends, but not bad.

Nice SP. Your photoshop skills are awesome.

Oh how I love living out in the sticks !! No traffic jams. Oh your poor car, take it back & get a refund :>)

I got caught in trafffic like that on Wednesday night. It's not fun! Good shot which really helps us imagine your day. But next year, Robin -- shop a little earlier! :-)
Guest 24-Dec-2005 02:06
Too bad on the traffic - wasn't nearly that bad around here, but I wouldn't want to be on any of the major corridors today (like I-5 or I-405) like you were. Hope you get that problem in your lens worked out - the photo is so distorted! ;-)

Well, what did you expect two days before Christmas. In the thumbnail I thought it was a cop car with the blue light flashing. Nice effect.
Herb 24-Dec-2005 01:36
Sounds like a fun day
