September 8: At Work!

RAR and Associates

I don’t usually make excuses for my below average images, however today I’ve been totally full up between a breakfast meeting and my current project of creating feedback reports for a client due tomorrow.

This is the World Headquarters of Robin Reid and Associates. If you study it closely you will learn a great deal about my messy habits. I made no effort to clean up before taking the shot.

One more editorial comment: Note a pair of glasses in my hand and another pair on the desk. While both are bi-focal I need one set for the computer and the other for the rest of life.

1/60s f/4.0 at 17.0mm iso400 with Flash full exif

Haha, i know that feeling , i'm sitting here surounded by piles of paperwork that i should sort out , if only i could stay off the computer !!! Two monitors eh ?? cool .

That is the difference between a shot in the wilderness and the setup for the purpose game, Robin. I will post one day a shot of my work desk and you'll say then, Oh, I am not that badly organised.

This is messy? Uh Oh... please don't ever come to my house.

I think your desk is really clean... My desk at work is a complete disaster! so Robin.. you have two sets of bifocals, one for the computer(creating pbase masterpieces) and one for regular life, and none for work! do your clients know you don't use your glasses when you prepare your reports? :) I like the dual monitor set up.. cool!
Guest 09-Sep-2004 02:26
I just want to add that I would LOVE to have a commode attached to my computer room! LOL!! :)-

I agree with all.. this is nothing Robin.. I dont' even do BUSINESS at my computer and it's holy hell.
Aren't you supposed to lodge large chunks of pretzel in the keyboard? lol

This is nothing! I'll show you what my desk looks like tomorrow - I can barely move the mouse for the junk!

Is that a Maxtor One Touch external hard drive back there? It's fun to see other's toys. I'll have to post my..ahem...home office one day.

Not sure this could be considered messy, there's no McDonald's bags anywhere within sight, and you can see the top of your desk. (I thought one pair of glasses were assigned to each monitor :))

I won't show you both of my desks in that case. Robin, maybe you should consider getting a couple of bigger screens, something in the line of a 40" plasma so you can sit back comfortably in an armchair to do this work?

looks about like the mess I have, but mine is more messy. And only 1 LCD and one laptop. But then mess adds some character.

I think that makes 3 of us I know of .... me, Cindy, and Stewart ... although as I write this I recall mulitple images several times on Paul Walter's pages.
Stu08-Sep-2004 23:02
How tidy are you. My desk is just one big pile of books, CDs, pens and paper!
Cindy08-Sep-2004 23:02
What a way to work, at home!! If you even attempted to clean up the mess, you wouldn't be able to find anything anyways. ;-)
Gary Blanchette08-Sep-2004 22:59
Hahaha! Sounds like me. I have three pairs of glasses. One bifocal, one near and one far sighted. If I wear the bifocal at the monitor, it isn't long before I have a stiff neck from tilting it back.

So 85% were happy with your seminar, nice shot Robin.

Wow. Larry sure is observant. I'm left-handed, but my mouse is on the right side of my desk...I've adapted well to the dictatorship of the right-handed. I bat, golf and throw right-handed, but play tennis left-handed...So did you clone that second monitor in? Cool! ;-)
uofmtiger08-Sep-2004 21:52
I have a Kyocera 7135, too!
Guest 08-Sep-2004 21:39
Let's see here, you're left handed, you drink coffee, you have a pda, is that a remote control for a fan? Screw driver on the mouse pad? WOW - you can learn a lot just by clikcing "original" I never do - interesting... great post Robin I have learned a lot about you today. LOL
