This was taken at the Annual Military Ball my senior year at Colorado College, and the fact that I was dancing with Betty Burgoon was in violation of rule imposed upon me by the judiciary committee!

Late in the prior year I had been caught eating turkey sandwiches and drinking a Coors in the women’s dorm (which back in those days was not coed), and as a result had been placed on social probation for a Quarter.

The dance was the last day of the Quarter. My friend Bill and I had organized the event, but it was ruled we were not allowed to dance. Naturally we had to break that prohibition! ;-)
