SP Friday – Reflecting on taking Portraits


I suspect I’ll be sharing many reflections of my learning about portraiture as the semester goes by at Palomar College . Yesterday we learned how to set up studio lights and to hook up a medium format Mamiya camera tethered to a computer. This was all pretty complicated stuff that almost required an electrician’s license.

I love taking more informal, hand-held shots as shown above. So this class will be a stretch for me.
