This lovely picture reminds me a poem of Maurice Carême : "Autumn in the woods plays the harmonica. What joy for the leaves they dance in the arms of the wind which carries them away..." BV. Anna

Interesting to compare this with "mellow fellow," which is a close-up impressionistic image compared to this -- more straightforward, the crossing bridge at a distance from the viewer, but with the same inviting angle urging an approach to the woods beyond. I love the clutter of the fallen leaves, signs of the onset rush of autumn, no turning back; symbols of inevitable change.
