One of the most stunning pictures of your galeries.

Hi Tía, nice to hear your comments. I don't have any specific guidelines about what sort of scene works and what doesn't. If it seems like a situation might lend itself to an HDR, then I shoot three exposures. I never know until I see it later on the computer.

Sometimes the HDR "flattens" the image and diminishes the impact (and then I use a single exposure to express the composition). Sometimes (and what I think is less often) the HDR better captures the feeling and emotion of the scene (as I think is the case here). Whatever expresses what I remember when I was standing there holding the camera, then that's what I post.

I wish I could spend more time to explore all the possibilities. A DRI might indeed be the better option, but then I've got more experience with HDR and tone mapping.

Thanks again.

A good idea! I was planning to try it out too. Wondering if you have one shot in 9 separate exposures, it seems that the effect should be more impressive. Think about testing with DRI first before trying out HDR.
Can you tell one of your experience about the kind of view to produce a good HDR? Landscape with a big part of sky, or water reflection etc? Hope to learn more from you.
Cheese :))

Great picture, I first saw it in the forum so I thought I'd take a deeper look. You've got some nice stuff here. I really liked this shot, it looks so "natural". The clouds are very cool, they really add to the effect. The polorizer was a grand idea.
