These are both universal remote controls.

They say, either one will operate everything. However, we find that we must have both to access all features of TV and musical systems.

I have the one on the right. And yes, it takes two or more to do it all. Amazing isn't it. Of course, I suppose we could get out of our chair and go over to manually change the electronic appliance. I have vague memories of doing that in my youth! ;-)
