Click here for my on-line journal: AS I SEE IT

It was difficult to see after leaving my eye doctor's office, this afternoon. So I went back inside to get some UV protecton for my dilated pupils.

The doctor says I have a cataract covering the viewing range of my right eye.
He will remove it next month.

Now I have a bonafide doctor's excuse for my pathetic looking photos.

Those are wild looking shades, sir. I love how your other glasses are visible as well. You can use this image to obtain an official "Proud Baby Boomer" license, which gives you absolutely no privileges at all, except to be curmudgeonly on demand. :-) Good luck with the surgery!

Nothing wrong with your photos. :) You look cool in those shades. Good luck with the surgery. Everyone I know who has had it is very pleased with the results.

Hi Dave,
I had it done twice. (once for each eye) It was amazing. This is an excellent SP! Take care.

my mom just had hers done too. seems pretty common nowadays, but cataract surgery used to be a really big deal.

you look like the terminator.....

And you drove while having your eyes dialated? I hope that the surgery goes well and there is nothing wrong with your pics! Glad you are taking care of things!!

No excuses, Dave, your photos are fine. I drove a circular parking garage one time with eyes like that. I think I made a few of the curves straight.

Poor you! I hope you're not in any great discomfort. Great image: with the focus on the shades, their impenetrability and their protecting quality for you today.
