The interior of my computer.

This is a virtural microcosm of a large vibrant international city.

Within its borders are centers for communications, finance, the arts, and more. Many of these centers have affiliates in every continent on earth. Its inexhaustible library facility and global news networks are world-class. This virtural city has access to the world's best education, music, video, and publishing outlets. The city even has a red-light district where all manner of adult entertainment is shamelessly available.

As in any city with such varied interests there is a huge potential for trouble. This morning I transported myself into the heart of the electronic city to investigate an insidious whirring sound. This sound has been intermittant for several days. Sounds similar to this have been known to signal trouble that could fatally cripple cities of this size. Once "on-the-ground" inside this awesome city I found massive areas of pollution in the form of dust; dust thick enough make it very hard for the city to breathe. With the assistance of compressed air I cleared the city of pollutants. When I left I felt satisified that the town was environmentally friendly again.
However, the annoying whirring sound was still there. Politics in such cities can often be complicated. Upon futher investigation I found that I had violated a key political policy. I had left a disc in the cities Compact Disc neighborhood. The whirring was the neighborhood's protest of the unwelcome invader that had been there since Jill gave me a WebCam for Christmas. When the intruder was removed the whirring stopped. And the city is at peace once again.
