It was a long and mostly dark night.
Shibumi sailed on, unphased by the dark,
she pranced across the rolling ocean waves in depths up to 4000 feet.
Jill and I were both awake at sunrise. Although we were still in the middle of the mighty Gulfstream,
sunrise signaled a passage of sorts. It was the passage out of the dark into the light.
A very much welcomed passage, indeed.
It was the end of our first night in the ocean, with no other ships in sight.
