It is not very pretty, but this rather ordinary looking pen will write smoothly upside down, underwater, over grease, in extreme heat and extreme cold. Pens like it have been on every U.S. and Russian manned space mission since 1967, so I guess that would also include a few trips to the moon.

Very inviting shot to sit and write something.... A poem... A novel.... Good shot.

What an interesting pen! It's the kind they should sell at airports, as all my pens seem to explode as soon as I try to use them after flying :)

for NASA it's not a pen, it's a DRD (Data Recording Device). and make sure you post the pics of you writing with it upside down, underwater, over grease, and in extreme heat and extreme cold. :O)
