There are also a few photos from Carlsbad (Karlovy Vary), a beautiful spa town in a narrow winding valley in the Western part of Bohemia; it is the most famous and largest of the spas in the Czech Republic. Since the 17th century, travellers have come to take the cure by drinking the waters from its twelve thermal mineral springs. Visitors have included Peter the Great, The Holy Roman Emperor Charles IV, Bach, Goethe, Beethoven, Paganini, Freud, Casanova, and Kafka. And me.

I was in Prague this summer and found this city to be a magnificent and historic city. I would strongly recommend the FreeTour and you will see exactly what this city is about and learn its remarkable history. My family loved our visit to Prague. The pictures reminded me of all that we saw.

This is absolutely fabulous! My wife and I booked a B&B in Prauge back in 2001, but the heavy rains that year forced a good portion of the city to evacuate. I sure wish we were able to visit, especially after seeing these shots. Thanks!!

Just a thought: many of the cityscapes you've done would lend themselves well to high-contrast B/W treatment, if you ever feel so inclined.

I see that you enhoyed Praha as much as I did. It appears you had more time to walk around. I arrived there the Saturday before Easter with no reservations and only 24 hours to enjoy it. Ron, I really enjoyed this gallery! I said it in my other comment on the window, but honestly, as I go through your pictures I'm struck by how similar our shooting styles are. I can see some of the exact same doors, windows, seals, etc. as I shot, although I haven't yet processed the majority of my photos (so you didn't see them in my gallery :-)). I also think you saw more than I did in Prague, so it's nice to have a look at what I missed. Anyway, great job! Helen

I am from New Orleans in the U.S., a place that is popular with tourists. But New Orleans is humble compared to what I see of Prague in your photos. Prague looks like it must be the most beautiful city on Earth. I hope the Czech government succeeds at publicizing the beauty of the city to the rest of the world. Prague deserves to be, and should be, the number one tourist destination in the world. I just hope terrorists don't ruin it for everyone.

Londoner here who's been to Prague twice. It is quite simply the most stunning city I have ever seen. Even Florence can't match it's beauty. Only sunset over Granada, the Alhambra and the Sierras comes close. I strongly recommend the views from the top of Petrin Hill (and Petrin's mini Eiffel tower). It doesn't get any better than drinking a beer in the Spring sunshine outside a nice restaurant on Petrin, overlooking the bridges of Prague (Czech black beer is the best beer in the world). I only hope the horror of KFC, Mac Dees and drunken English stag party weekends don't ruin it! (p.s. Czechs, you may drink the most beer, but us Brits get the most drunk!)

Tnx for nice pictures from Prague , do you know the better town ? I think that Prague is the most beautifull town in the world , except two parts - Praha 1 and Praha 2 .
