Well, this is a truly amazing shot. But I'm still not convinced it isn't a modified image. I've been working with photography for over 30 years - film - and digital for the past 5 years and my gut reaction is that either there was a huge wall behind of either white rock, clouds or fog to diffuse the light and project it into the area or this is a composite image. If I'm wrong .. I sure would like the photographer to contact me and explain how this photo was taken. It's a great shot - no two ways about it. I'd love to see this in a large format image ..say 4' to 6' wide. -- ofieldstream
The range of tones in this image is captivating - the rock almost sparkles, the lichen calls out quietly for attention, and you still kept the sky intact and interesting. Lovely scene, and lovely exposure.
