Great shot! These coyotes seem to have no fear.

What a great shot. I have mixed feelings, they got one of my cats about a year ago when she snuck outside. But coyotes are wild carnivores and we have encroached on their land. I keep a close watch on my kitties now...they never go outside.

Not only wet, but he also looked sad and lonely. Great catch.

What a fascinating view over a different world! Throught your half open car window you really show me enchanting new horizons!

Jill and Roboele, I have to confess to not being an intrepid hunter. It was raining fairly hard (very unusual in Death Valley), so this was taken through a partially open car window. Luckily the Nikon 5700 has an 8x zoom lens.

As an person that is accompanied by three dogs in my home-they lead such a life of luxury that they of course may or may not hold against me...
With this coyote such a wildness, a carefree existence untamed in such a stark enviroment.

Curiosity arouses me to ask as well, How did you manage such a remarkable closeup? The type of lense you use? Or just disallowing fear and walking up to such a lovely creature?

This is an emotional picture somehow; he looks very wet and lonely, poor thing. But, beside this I have a question: how were you able to take such a close-up of a wild animal?
