I really enjoyed our concert last night, and after all the hard work it was good to hear it come off well. This is one of my favourite pieces from the concert and one of my favourite instruments - a handmade boxwood Alto. A smaller than anticipated audience didn't detract from the enjoyment of playing last night, neither did the filthy weather. The highlight for me however was seeing Linda and David - it was just wonderful that they came 80 miles to see me play, but remarkable in such weather ! I knew that they didn't really know what they were coming to listen to and wasn't sure they'd like it. I needn't have worried though, and it was great to see them. Linda made me pose for a photo with one of my instruments - you all know I'd rather be on the other side of the camera of course, but how could I refuse such a good friend ?!

Drove home via Glastonbury today... where I bought a pair of strappy Crocs sandals for my holiday.
