Feeling a bit sombre today. I came upon a major road accident on Friday evening and because I'm a First Aider, stopped to help. I'd never seen such mayhem, with wreckage strewn over a large area. A young guy in one of the cars was unconscious and in a bad way. All we could do was keep him stable until the Fire Brigade arrived and took over. I drove past the same place yesterday and I went cold when I saw flowers by the roadside.... I know I couldn't have done anything more but it's so, so sad.
