24 May... The Square goes green

Trafalgar Square as we've never seen it before !

On 24 - 25 May, for the first time ever, 2,000 square metres of green turf are covering Trafalgar Square, transforming one of London’s most iconic attractions into "London's village green".
For 2 days only, people will be able to take advantage of the green space to have a picnic or just relax in a deck chair and soak up the atmosphere.

I have to say it looks stunning, especially in the beautiful sunny weather. And it's clear people are loving it. I hope they do it again !

Here's what it looked like first thing this morning, before they opened it up to the people.

And look who I bumped into on the Square this morning...

Ah I missed this - shame they only did it for a couple of days. Feels very strange to be looking at it like that!

Wonderful - I reckon they should leave it like that!
