superb images, will check your site on regular basis.
Loved your images - will need to revisit to view what I have missed. Stunning artwork. regards Dek.
Rose Atkinson's galleries should be compulsive viewing to anyone who thinks they might be a photographer. She shows a wit, humour and really creative composition so sadly lacking in a great many mediocre photographs considered worth posting or publishing.
Your work is refreshing and life affirming. An inspiration and a joy, a celebration of photography of the highest standard. It encourages me to grab the camera and get cracking, though I appreciate the time, patience and skill that's gone in to so much of your work.
Thank you very much for sharing this, my very best wishes, John.
Rose, your photo galleries are superb.I`ve put you in my favourites so I can pop in whenever...........

I have enjoyed a short look through your collection. All very interesting and excellent compositions.
Thanks for visiting my gallery and your comments,
Awesome photo gallery.
Excellent galleries Rose. Thanks for sharing.
I just happened to notice your new PAD and laughed at your sense of humor regarding Chocolate and Wine. I decided to mark you as a favorite to keep an eye on your work. After taking a few more minutes to quickly look at some of you pics I noticed a cat named Murphy...same as ours. So I figure it must be fate that I follow your PAD...love for chocolatte, wine, cats named murphy...should be an interesting year. Stick to it!
You have some excellent photos here....
Will visit again to see in detail....
Thanks for the comments. You have some great pics. Love the tour of Australia and you have some great night pics. The flower shots in your "FAVS" also stand out. Great work.
I really enjoyed viewing your galleries, there are some stunning images throughout. Excellent composition and light, well done.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR TOUCHING PHOTO MONTAGE OF THE LONDON BOMING VIGIL IN TRAFALGER SQUARE.
Thank you for visiting my gallery and for the kind remarks.
I am a grannie and poet born in kent england and living in brisbane and i am making a book of simple poems for my 7 year old granddaughter Aiko (who lives in darwin)as a christmas present
i would love to be able to use your image called gum tree on your darwin page at
to illustrate one of the poems i have written for her as it is such a beautiful shot - this tree with its two old limbs reaching up to the sky
I make little books for my granddaughters as one-offs on the computer
the poem is below - I am not sure on what basis you allow people to use your work - if you are willing to give me permission to use this beautiful shot please let me know how you would like to be acknowledged
If you are ok with this perhaps you would give me your postal address as I would like to return the compliment by mailing you a copy of my recently published little book of poems called Lady with Weasel - it has a section in it called 'the best of british wildlife' (not at all soft and furry) which you might find interesting or good for a wry smile
thanks a lot
when i first came to stand here
green country spread far as i could see
and dark-skin people with yellow dogs
walked softly past my young body
I was bent by the wind
cleansed of dust by the rain
I drank the brown flood water
and stretched in the sun once again
I reached up to kite and dove
in my shade lay the kangaroos
the insects made me their highway
for a veil I wore black cockatoos
my head was cloud high
when others came
wearing boots to bruise my roots
and an ax to carve their name
now my old limbs begin to drop
I have silvery hair and wrinkled skin
small creatures make their homes in me
my time of strength is over - yours yet to begin
so think for a while as you turn from the path
and stop for a rest beneath me
theres a message here hidden just under my bark
from your mother old giant gum tree
Hi Rose, I am very much an amateur designer but am creating a website for my husband's new company (its my first project and I am not getting paid for it!) and love some of your photos of London. I, like Hugh, would love to use a couple of your images, cropped down and would be happy to give you the credit on the website.
Hope this would be OK?
I really enjoyed looking trough your gallery. Your photography is very impressive and I will refer to it for certain camera settings.
Great Photo`s.. and Gallery
Hello! Congratulations on your excellent photographs.
I publish a magazine called Français Plus for students and teachers of French in Irish secondary schools. It's a kind of current affairs magazine in French. (You can get a lot more information about me and my magazine at www.pluspublications.com.)
In my next issue, due for publication in 10 days, I have a short article on the recent "Sudan 1" food contamination. To accompany that article, I was wondering if you would give me permission to reproduce your photograph, found at this link:
If your answer is "yes!", I'm wondering if you have a higher-res version of the photo which you could email me?
Naturally, I would credit you, both beside the photograph and on the back of the magazine (where all photographers are credited). I would certainly send you a copy of the magazine when it comes off the presses, too, if you tell me where you are!
Anyway, I'm hoping this will get to you: you have no email address on your pbase profile.

Rose your galleries are a credit to you and the A80 Beutiful.
We went on the saturday and it rained quite a bit and we missed some of the planes u saw. Great collection love the Harrier pic.
Impressive pictures. Thanks
Great pictures, thank you for sharing them! Missy
Delightful pictures, Rose. I'm considering getting an A80, and wanted to check them out, but your compositions remind me that it's more the photographer who really makes the picture, not the specific camera! Nice work, and thanks for sharing.
I am so impressed with your progress with the A80. You've taken some really terrific pictures! I've put you on my favorites list in pBase. I think we're going to see some truly great images in your galleries.
