Buccaneer XV368 was delivered to the RAF in August 1968. After a naval career of a decade, it went to the RAF in 1978. In January 1991 it was painted in desert 'ARTF' (Alkali Removable Temporary Finish) and coded 'S' for Gulf operation 'Granby'. Returned to Lossiemouth in March 1991 and re-joined 237OCU.
Pictured here at Kleine Brogel in September 1991, shortly before retirement. In March 1994 XV863 became a gate guardian at RAF Lossiemouth in its Gulf War desert c/s. In 2001 it was replaced by a Tornado and sold to the Christie Keane Museum, Weston (8 miles west of Dublin) for £5,300.
