My 3rd (and last) Opel Manta was a GT/E, built in 1984 and imported from Germany in 1995. I bought it in July 1996 and drove it for 9 months. In that (short) period it proved to be reliable, fast and fun. Also... rust! Underneath were some interesting holes, not designed by Adam Opel AG. Also, the clutch sometimes made fascinating sounds and oil consumption wasn't really modest. It was better to sell it before it was too late.
