An excellent picture. I also grew up with the space race (born in 56). I have an original set of newspaper and magazine cutting from 1969 when they went to the moon. Your images are a wonderful record of current events. Also just got the canon 100-400mm lens last week... now all I need is a ticket to the next launch! ~V~

Fantastic!!! it must have been incredible to be there in person!

That's by far the hottest shot of a shuttle launch I've ever seen.

Rod - magnificent picture! One of your colleagues pointed me at this site. Was there for the scrubbed launch Thursday 7, but e-route back to Blighty Saturday. Your picture has made me more determined than ever to catch a launch "live"

Terrific shot. This is something I'd love to see in person.

I've also been waiting to see your shots of this launch. I was born in 1957 so I grew up with the space race. I love it. In my lifetime I would give anything to see a shuttle launch, and photograph it, live. NASA is money very well spent. It's likely that the digital camera you took this picture with wouldn't exist, or be as advanced, if it wasn't for this great program. Oh yea, got my vote.

Thanks~Bill
