This was taken in Ionia, MO on April 11, 1959. The last day of passenger service on the St Louis Line. This is train 23 returning to Kansas City.

This motorcar is definitely RI 9090 verified by the damage to the pilot on the fireman's side. I am 90% sure the location is Ionia Mo. No 9090 is headed west. Ionia had a train order signal with blades facing downward and there was a metal grain elevator located east of the depot and the siding was on the south side of the main line. So everything fits I worked at Ionia relieving the regular agent in early 1965. This is probably a photo of the last run on Apr 11 1959.
