Great meeting you this weekend - your Praha pictures have inspired me - beautiful images - I browsed all the galleries. That one shot of Miami at night is amazing! Chihuly is also one of my favorites - different views than you normally see.
Thanks again and I will send you a link to my pics when I get back! I am going to have to find that place in Praha that you took shooting down from the top - very cool.

Hi Robin. We met at the rally there with Code Pink during the Mayors of America convention. You have some spectacular photos here!!! Quite a collaboration of pictures from all walks of life. It was very nice talking to someone worldly like you who is like minded and thinks outside the box:) Your pics have a lot of creativity and expressionism. Wishing you continued success:)-Maurice

Robin, this is David Framberger, who admired your Miami Modern photos, and sent you to our website, www.MiMo.us. We are now a small volunteer group named the MiMo Coalition,
and we have been successful in creating several historic districts, including 30 blocks of Biscayne Boulevard! I would like to add you to our mailing list. No charge or obligation. Right now we are concentrating on Bay Harbor Islands, and if you pick up this weeks Sunpost, you will see a letter to the editor from me.Send your name and email to teri@dadausa.com and ask to be on the MiMo list. Your B & W photos are outstanding. Thanks

It was a real pleasure to find your images of Ischia, where I now have the great good fortune to live.
Knowing the places, it's fascinating to see how much your precisely chosen details say about them.
Come back soon!
And, if you find you're suffering from Ischia-withdrawal, check out the works of Oscar Pantalone !

A major talent!

Love the photos and your galleries. With such a keen eye for all subject types (from architecture to street scenes to composite shots), I was wondering what training and/or academic background you have. I'm guessing a MFA, but it could be a architecture degree. Just wondering.

Loved your views of Italia! I was also there (in Siena & Pisa) mid-Marzo of this year. You give a new angle to remember my trip and some views I missed, as well as ideas for cropping some of my pictures . . (torre pendente, the siena duomo). I also have the butchet shop with bicycle (and the chenille swag door). Bella Italia!

Hi Robin ... I've been browsing your work ... and I love your eye for patterns. I'm adding you to my favorites because I like your work, and we share the same first name ... (except I'm a man).
Howard Garrett 20-Mar-2004 03:11
Dear Robin;
I am extremely impressed with every one of your images. You have a wonderful eye. You probably do not remember me since the last time I saw you was about 24 years ago when you were very young. I guess you don't remember- but I lived across the street- you certainly know Lois and probably remember Harvey and Deborah. At any rate, it's great to get reacquainted via your enormous and sensitive talent.
Cheers;
Howard

Hello ROBIN , AMAZING STRUCTURAL COMPOSITIONS . As a fellow Miamian it is interesting to see all of your pictures , all of the same places that I see . The interesting part is that even though I recognize all of these landmarks , they somehow look different . The ability to frame and capture your own particular vision which is what you do is the difference between using the camera as a compositional tool rather than as a "copying machine". Your work is inspirational , open ended and soulful .

Best Regards

Jose

I am very very impressed with your work. Where do you get your artistic talent from? I really can't believe that you still have that typewriter. I am at my friend Colleens computer and she thinks you are extremely talented just like your mother.
Talk to you soon. Again, to think you came from me. I am so proud.

"Write with blood, and you will find that blood is spirit" Nietzsche wrote, probably with his own blood.
And I also find blood in your images.

Hello Robin, I really like the picture of the golden Davidstar at the shoah-monument, Miami! Good job, eh! When I will find some time I will make some colourphoto's of "Jewish Amsterdam". It's a very interesting subject to work on! I made some black and whites of it as well. Anyways, have fun shooting tomorrow!:-)

Thanks for the welcome note. I'd no idea what I was getting into with the PoD. It helps to know there are others out there with similar motivations and struggles.
I love your work. The mailbox has great appeal for me.
Here is a John Lodge image to go along with the guitar pick. It was taken sometime in 1978, I think.

Hi Girasole,

Thanks for the comment you left in my gallery. Looked at your photographs and they display a very good 'eye'. My compliments!

Being a 'veteran' photojournalist, I can only say that I enjoyed the way you captured the anti globalization protest. Are you currently working as a pj as well?

Best regards,
Paul Teixeira
