Scientific name: Lamprotornis purpureiceps (Verreaux & Verreaux, 1851).
Note: This bird is possibly a Lamprotornis purpureus (Purple Glossy Starling). Looking into it.
Generally considered an African bird, however, this species has a large range, with an estimated global extent of occurrence of 1,400,000 km˛.
