Here, the Orange river, running through a deep gorge,
drops a total of around 56 metres in several cascades.
The surrounding National Park is home to over 40 mammal species (but nothing too dangerous),
The falls area itself is overrun with Dassies/Rock Hyraxes as well as Pale-Winged Starlings,
who will quite happily eat from your hand, or plate.
The famous) Quiver Tree forest is actually fenced in,
but there are plenty of other Quiver trees all around.
