Experts aren't sure if this 5th-century BC bronze represents Zeus (about to throw a lightning bolt) or Poseidon (about to throw his trident). In either case, it's remarkable.

Recent x-rays revealed that the raised arm has a thickness of 6-9 mm. It couldn't under any circumstances support the weight of a trident. Nice shot despite the low light...
