My uncle Frank J. Rauch was drafted in April 1941 and trained at Camp Forrest. He was in Company G. We recently found negatives he took while in training and during his tour. He was killed in action in April 1945 and buried in the Philippines. If anyone out there had family in Company G from 1941-1945 and would like to see the pictures, please let us know.

Looking for photos of my grandfather, Henry Ford Addington, from Camp Forrest, TN as well as Ft. Benning (Lawson Fld), GA. Looking for information about and any photos of the Sports Arena at Camp Forrest. After the war it was moved to Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tennessee, where it is still used today.

My father (Raymond Hettel) was stationed at Camp Forrest, Tenn and was part of the 647th Medical Co. that departed Camp Forrest September 24, 1943. Do you have any information or photos for the 647th Medical Co. They left for Camp Kilmer, N.J. and arrived there on September 26, 1943. Thank You.

My late father was in Camp Forrest in 1943. He fought in the Battle of The Bulge in Dec 1944. 101st artillery 26th infantry yankee division. His name was Fred Foley.

My father Melvin McDannell was in the 5th Ranger Batt. from Feb. 8th 1943 until the fall of 1945. I would like to know any info you may have on him, he was in "F" Co. He served overseas in the Central European & Rhineland Campaigns and was with the first infantry units to liberate Camp Buchenwald. I'm pretty sure he done his Ranger training at Camp Forrest before being deported to England for further training. Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thank You

My dad was at Camp Forrest and took Ranger training there. I believe it was with the 2de Battalion but he never served with them. He mentions a red, white and yellow 'Ranger' patch but I think he was mistaken. Any idea what sort of insignia was worn back then by the Rangers? He also refers to the training as the 2d Army Ranger School. Same or different?

From February to May of 1942, my Dad, Nels Thormodsgard, was stationed at Camp Forrest. He was then sent to Ft. Brady, Michigan.

My uncle Augustine D'Alessandris (or Dalessandris) was at Camp Forrest before being deployed to England for the D-Day plus 4 landing. Can you tell me when he arrived there and when he left? He was also in Ft. Meade, MD before going to Camp Forrest. In Europe, he was with the 60th Infantry 9th Infantry Division Company A, 2nd Battalion?. Thank you.
