This Peregrine was perched in a dead tree on the southeasternmost end of High Pines. It provides a great vantage point for raptors to see a long unobstructed stretch of the ocean side of Duxbury Beach. It was there both days and I think accounted for the fact that there were few shorebirds on the outer beach when usually they are omnipresent. It didn't prevent them from forming a large flock, however, just north of the 2nd crossover. It flew from it's high perch to one of the posts that hold up the snowfence and then flew again, this time right near me and I was able to get the next shot.
