A yard "first", this individual appeared with a flock of American Goldfinches at our feeder. People have been reporting White-winged Crossbills at feeders in the region, and so I have been paying special attention to the numerous Goldfinches that are eating us out of house and Nyjer and was today was rewarded not with a Crossbill, but with something equally satisfying! I have seen small flocks of Redpolls out on Duxbury Beach from time to time this season, but nowhere else. The faint pink on the breast (more visible in other shots) makes this a male.
