Entering the Piano Grande at 5am, before sunrise, the mist / low cloud was thick and provided little foreground interest. It started rising up, and soon I was thick in cloud. I climbed to the mountain ridge way up behind me to escape the cloud, and in this time the cloud fell to reveal some foreground hills and the road for foreground, just as the sun rose to illuminate the scene...

A 3 stop Graduation ND filter was used over the sky, and a further 2 stop ND graduation was used over the entire frame except the foreground hills.
