Wakodahatchee Wetlands, Delray Beach, Florida

Wakodahatchee Wetlands is part of a water-treatment plant in Delray Beach, in Palm Beach County, Florida. A boardwalk has been built allowing visitors easy access to part of the site, and it has proved very popular with local walkers, joggers and photographers.

There is a great variety of bird life (and other wildlife) to be seen at Wakodahatchee, including several species that nest there. Since I lived just a few miles away for several years, I used to visit regularly, often calling in for an hour or so on the way home from work.

I have literally thousands of photographs taken at Wakodahatchee - I have tried to select some of the best for this gallery, as well as trying to reflect some of the variety of subjects to be seen there.
