Introduced by Asahi Optical in 1964, the Spotmatic was the first Pentax with through-the-lens exposure metering. It became one of the best selling cameras in the world with production continuing with minor modifications through 1976. In the United States the camera was marketed exclusively by Honeywell, usually with the Super-Takumar 55mm f/1.8 lens shown.
I still occasionally use this flawlessly working camera.
