Pentax SuperProgram (1983-87)

A flawed gem.

Also known as the Super A, the SuperProgram was a multi-function camera. It could be operated in either manual, shutter or aperture preferred, and program modes. When it functioned properly, it was a fantastic camera. However, I owned two and both proved quite troublesome. Both were repaired by Pentax several times and I finally gave up on them. The camera is shown with a SMC Pentax-A 50mm f/1.7 lens and Motor Drive A.
