This small worn photo was proudly carried daily by my beloved wife for the over
four years of my WWII Army service, including the three constant years
that I served overseas in Europe, from July 1942 to July 1945. It was our
loving link and her very proud possession and precious comfort during the anxious days
of my participation in the Initial D-Day Assault on the beaches of
Normandy in June 1944 at Omaha Beach to the end of the European
hostilities for my part in the War, at Pilsen, Czechoslovakia. My
work to restore this photo was a sad & worthy restoration for me...
done in her loving & precious memory............(1922 - 2004)
