I love to see small flock of Bushtits fly into a nearby tree and move from branch to branch looking for a meal: aphids, small spiders, beetles or other insects. Their chatter of soft calls keep them in contact with each other as they move through the tree. They hang upside down from twigs as they investigate cracks, crevices and rolled up leaves looking for bugs. Then, as if it was mutually agreed, they fly off to the next tree to begin their search again. And I hate to see them go...
* OK, fine_they're not really mice. But they are small, gray-brown, cute and very active...kind of like mice.
