Red is an interesting colour. The human mind gives that colour far more importance - hence red stop lights etc.
So by choosing to not make the red areas of the stigma sharp you have created a bit of a conundrum. I find that it is hard to look beyond the red spots.
That is a shame because there are some lovely sensual forms in the bottom of the flower that I would otherwise like to explore.
Please also check your histogram as the image seems to be low in contrast.
