I like the juxtaposition of the moon and the fireworks. It invites me to imagine not fireworks but perhaps an exploding sun? A colourful celestial calamity.
I do question your inclusion of all the black area. Negative space can be a really important balance in the composition of an image. I don't think that is the case here.
A squarish crop would have all the energy contained within it and be more dramatic .
