Whether this is a real fish I am not sure. But it doesn’t matter in this comp, and it is certainly a good image with loads of impact.
What I first assumed was water is more likely ice. I have a minor quibble with the small, very bright highlights on the LHS, and suggest either cropping or darkening them.
