This photo was taken on the long weekend in August. Each year Parks Canada celebrates Colonel By Day (aka Civic Holiday) in Ottawa with different events at the Ottawa Locks along the Rideau Canal. This year a giant inflatable "Parks Canada" beaver was on site, subject of snickers and ridicule by adult visitors, excitement and awe by children...and photos by me!
