This squirrel was busy gathering moss and other nesting materials and bringing it to a den among the rocks. Each time Red left the den, she would pause for a moment like this, so we waited and as soon as she popped out of the den, we caught her picture. How much easier squirrels have it in home construction! They just gather what's on the ground and put it together in a comfortable bed in a day. And it's free!
