This morning I went out on some country roads where Snowy Owls have been seen regularly. I tried to spot some of the Snowy Owls twice earlier in December with no luck, but today there were 2 and possibly 3 along one stretch of road including an almost white male (above) and a more heavily barred female or juvenile (below). They were perched on the tops of utility poles for the most part but occasionally were in the fields where they were well beyond reach of cameras (and easily overlooked).
