I was back out along the river Saturday morning to take photos of other waterfowl, not thinking about the King Eider because I figured it had left, but around mid-morning someone along the shoreline started waving at us to come over and once there we saw that the King Eider had just flown in. It was a fully sunny, calm beautiful day and the King Eider spent most of it right along the shoreline in glorious lighting and settings. I took numerous photos with these being among my favorites.
