This interesting print led from the water to a clump of small bushes. What is interesting about this print is it only has one clear set of foot prints. Part of me actually wonders if it is an otter slide. I think the more likely answer is that the drag mark was left by the beaver’s wide tail dragging in the snow. Since the tail comes after the foot prints the tail could have erased one set of the prints, leaving just the one set shown here. If so this would have been the only other clear marking in the snow I could find that was left by the beaver.
