Monday 21st May
Day 884
Tobacco is grown on small, private, farms - yes, that surprised me too - probably to ensure that the quality is really high. For example, Cohiba cigars use Tobacco sourced from a single farm, although other major brands may be blended. Unfortunately, no photography allowed in the cigar factories - even though they are sooo photogenic, if a little sweatshop like. On the farms it is a different matter. This character was in one of the drying huts, and like farmers the world over, has that grizzled look to his face!
