Partner & Chief Engineer of the Sheepskin Mine

Barkerville, British Columbia

While visiting Barkerville, we were educated in the workings of the waterwheel at the Sheepskin
Mine. This gentlemen and his partner, explained the engineering principles of the waterwheel and how
it performs three very important functions at the mine, and if we were to invest a small sum of our
useless money in the mine itself, the waterwheel will help make us all filthy rich.

One of my favourites, this shot easily looks as if it could have been taken back in the 1800's...Voted

Excellent so did you invest ? He looks like the brother of the guy that runs the gold mine canyon "junk yard" in Jerome AZ He has a Steam driven saw mill - but the last time Derek von Briesen and I were there it had just burned down and he was rebuilding it. Derek has a great shot of this guy in AZ somewhere in his pbase/sedona memories galleries
