Beautiful images. Thanks for sharing with us.
There are a wide range of reaction to your work here and well, there should be. I worked at Tranquille in the summer of 1972, 1973 during which time I lived in the newer of the residences; and from 1978 to early 1980. People on this forum refer to the emotion of these photos. Rightfully so; I am now moved to tears. What an outrageous shame that this has been allowed to happen. I was stuck on the turquoise blue boarded up building until I realized it was the Administration building, almost not recognizable. I worked upstairs in the building (Greaves Building) that has the mural painted on the west facing wall. It overlooked Kamloops Lake. Ive stumbled upon this by accident. Ive recently purchased a painting of Tranquille and still have a strong attachment to my time there, and the place itself. Thank you to Barbara Read and Fred Schaad. What a wonderful surprise.....Michael.

Incredible collection of A+ Photography. Congratulations.
Wow amazing work on the Tranquille pictures. I never knew about this place until a few days ago. I'm an amateur photographer and I'm facinated by abandonned places of all kinds. What a chance you guys had to go inside to take those shots. I've been itching to get out there to do the same, unfortunately the place is closed to the public since some big shots decided that it would be a good idea to destroy it and turn it into a village of 3000 to 4000 people. Nice way to make canadian history disapear!!!! You guys have managed to immortolize this place very well. Great work!!!
Thank you both for the remarks on my travel gallery of Nova Scotia. There were many chances at Moose, these 2 were at the very edge of the road and had no fear of us. Nova Scotia was a wonderful trip and we will return one day soon.
Take care folks and keep the great shots coming, I'll be back!

That shot I had that looks like Richard Gere really was. I had great seats on the field at Yankee Stadium and he was there too. Also the keyboardist for the rock band Bon jovi (although I didn't lnow who he was util someone told me.

Great photographs of Jasper/Banff areas. I noticed that some of your photo's list a Pentax ESII as the camera used. Do you still have one of these old cameras...The ESII was my first 35mm SLR. Great camera in its time.

I had a chance to visit Vancouver in February and was impressed with the beautiful scenery, although the new construction was rather distracting. Your style of photography is inspiring and really shows how a master uses the light. I enjoyed your lovely galleries.

Fred and Barbara: You have some of the lovliest images on here. I have no idea how you keep your film images so sharp when you have them scanned. Your exposures are really very good. I may join this site as a regular member but you're apt to see the same ol' photos I have had for quite awhile now (for lack of newer ones).
extremely good photographs, thanks for sharing!
You have some pretty nice images.
