YORK COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA

From the fall of 2009 through 2010, I concentrated on photographing as many moths in York and Adams counties
as I could find. Many days it would have been much easier to just stay in bed rather then rising at 4:30 AM
so that I could get to the moths before the birds.

With mixed deciduous and conifer woods bordering a large beautiful lake, Codorus State Park was the perfect habitat
for a diversity of species not found where I resided in neighboring Adams County. Like so many aspects of nature
I soon became addicted and anxiously looked forward to the 10 mile drive to the park,
especially on the cool summer mornings of those days when temperatures spiraled into the high nineties.

In this gallery I posted photos of most, not all by any means,
the moths I found at the park.
